WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING - JULY 2023

As July started team members kicked it into high gear at the Livonia Park Place for a week long Robot Camp.   Robot Camp consists of trying to design and build a robot from the ground up and even inviting individuals from other teams to learn about constructing a robot. From nothing to a working chassis by the end of the week as multiple but important non-tech squads chimed in to talk about what they do in a different way to help the team. The whole thing worked as the tight corridors were also being used to load up for Livonia Public School's summer programming Learning in L Town with a special robotics day at Coolidge Elementary. Both FTC and FRC showed off robots from the past season then assisted them in building tiny robots for themselves.

Then a week later both FRC teams competed in the Mason Rainbow Rumble with the Warriors ending up 18th and the Tyros 20th at the end of qualification. The Warriors were the 2nd pick of the 8th seeded alliance and the Tyros were the 3rd pick of the 3rd seeded alliance. But both teams didn't get as much as at Big Bang with the Warriors going out in the 7th-8th slot and the Tyros not even playing but being eliminated in the 5th-6th slot.

Both teams were back out at Aisin for the company's first picnic since the pandemic to show off their robots amongst the custom roadsters of the Aisin technicians for a nice afternoon get together.
